The Leighton Buzzard Railway began life over a century ago, born from the need to transport sand quarried in the years following WWI.

Today, it’s a charming heritage line run by passionate volunteers, offering steam and diesel rides through the town and countryside.

Along the way, we’ll uncover fascinating tales from the town’s past — from RAF secrets and WWI troop carriages to a motorcycle crash involving a train and even a visit from John Travolta!
