Mountain Biking Galena Lodge | Peace and Flow

Today I visited Galena Lodge in Sun Valley Idaho to see what trails they had to offer. The lodge is a small set up with a coffee shop, rentals and snacks. Outside is a fireplace, a large field to hang out in and plenty of picknick tables. It's a small, yet charming place. Here you'll have to get yourself to the top of the mountain as there are no lifts or shuttle options, but along the climb are peaceful meddows and creeks. The trails are all fairly tame, the hardest being a black diamond jump line though there are no mandatory gaps. This means the bike park is a great place for the whole family with trails to cater to any skill level or riding style; there is even true backcountry access and you'll probably see a number of bikepackers during your visit. Be sure to check this place out if you're ever in the Ketchum or Sun Valley area or are looking for a day trip from Boise.
