Survivor Mains Are Punishing Killers for Being "Nice"

In this video, I react to Not Otzdarva discussing a new Otzdarva’s Law and why it perfectly captures a growing problem in Dead by Daylight. The original Otzdarva’s Law was simple: if a survivor brings a map offering and then disconnects mid-match, it was almost always the same survivor who brought the offering.
The new law suggests that when a survivor suddenly stops moving and stands still as the Killer approaches, they are very often running a heavy gen rushing build. If they are found or hooked, they frequently disconnect. If the Killer chooses to be nice and lets them reset or “get their bearings,” that same survivor immediately runs off to slam generators as fast as possible. In both cases, the Killer is punished either through a disconnect or by being exploited for showing mercy.
I break down why this behavior has become so common, how survivor entitlement has been reinforced over time, and how Killer players playing “nice” has unintentionally created expectations of free second chances, handouts, and escapes. When survivors make major mistakes and still expect to be spared, it exposes a deeper issue with how the game already cushions poor play and removes accountability.
