Commissioning Parade for Officer Cadets on CCS 232 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in July 2023.
The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst offers a Commissioning Course Short (CCS) designed for Army Reserve officers and Professionally Qualified Officers (PQOs), such as doctors and nurses.
This eight-week course provides foundational military training and leadership development. The CCS is divided into four modules, with the first two potentially completed at local University Officer Training Corps (OTC/UOTC) or RMAS. The final two modules, C and D, are mandatory at RMAS.
Who it's for: Army Reserve officers and PQOs, including regular and reserve service.
Duration: Eight weeks.
Outcome: Upon successful completion, Officer Cadets become Second Lieutenants in the Army Reserve or Captains in PQO roles.
