According to traditional culture of indigenous people of Nepal , this chhewar ceremony should be done before their marriage ( during childhood ) . There are four stages of deeds making human being process to a newborn child. First - '' Name giving ceremony '' they give a name to a newborn child within 6 days of their born . Second - '' rice feeding ceremony '' they feed rice first time to a baby within 6 months of her / his born . Third - '' chhewar ceremony '' they do celebrate this '' Chhewar bartabandha ceremony '' ( if they have boy ) and '' Gunyocholo ceremony '' ( if they have girl ) before her / his marriage wedding ceremony . And Fourth - They do marry '' wedding ceremony '' when time comes .
