This video demonstrates an exercise for trumpet or brass players to help them acclimate to a mouthpiece more quickly or for when rapid weight gain or loss makes the embouchure feel funky. It can also help when your embouchure doesn't feel settled and things don't feel right. This exercise can work like magic in a day or two to get things back on track.
WARNING: if playing pedal tones severely affects your normal embouchure, this exercise may not work for you. This works best if you generally keep the same basic embouchure mechanics for the normal range of trumpet and down into the pedal register.
