In October of 2009, over 100 talented singers and musicians assembled on the platform of the historic Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton, GA. Their purpose? To pay honor and tribute to the venerable " Church Hymnal" first published in 1951 by the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) Denomination. These folks performed these songs with absolutely no rehearsal because each of them had grown up singing these beloved songs of Faith. The 500+ folks in the audience couldn't help but join in, too! The result was an amazing evening of some of the most beautiful music this side of Heaven!! This was one of the first singings of this kind in the Atlanta area. Now, folks are hosting these kinds of events the world over. What an honor to have played a small part in kindling a renewed interest in this beloved style of singing and worship!!
