A festive trip to Edinburgh - Christmas Market City Exploring - Silent Vlog

In December 2023 Joe and I went on a long weekend break to Edinburgh, Scotland. It was full of Christmas magic and hidden city gems.
We filmed some of what we got up to and put it together into a "silent" vlog - basically just a vlog without me rabbiting on over it, so you can enjoy the city sounds too!

Day 1 00:00
Trip up on the train, checked into the hotel and explored some of the main streets of Edinburgh. Stopping at the smaller Christmas market to have some waffles, mulled aperol and poutine!

Day 2 03:11
Exploring Edinburgh castle, visiting more of the old town and going on a ghost tour through the graveyard and old city vaults (we weren't allowed to film during the tour, but we thought it was great and would recommend for an alternative look at the city and it's history!)

Some more exploring! A visit to Camera Obscura and world of illusions, this was so much fun and very interesting to see the real camera obscura in action! Then we finally headed into the Christmas market for some goodies and Bailey's hot chocolate! We had ice skating booked which was busy but good fun, I'm not very good but managed a few laps without needing to hold on to Joe! :)

Day 4 10:03
Our last day, we only had the morning to explore before our train home, and it was raining and cold, so we hopped onto the tourist bus so we could have a good tour of the city with the audio guide telling us some great history and stories! It's definetly a touristy thing to do but I always recommend them especially your first time visiting a city to get a good overview and included travel if you want to hop off and explore somewhere more! We decided to hop off at the Royal Yacht Britannia for a self tour around, it was very interesting, even if you aren't a big royalist, like stepping back through history!

I hope you enjoyed watching this silent style vlog, I've never done anything like it, but love being able to show our adventures without having to vlog and talk at the same time (not quite that brave yet!)
