Lucky Dube - Feel Irie (Official Music Video)

The idea behind my music is I write music about people’s fears, people’s joys, people’s dreams and everything. ‘Feel Irie’ talks more about people’s fears and my fears as well, because it says there that no man can hide from his fears since they’re part of him, they’ll always know where to find them.

The common thread in Lucky Dube’s music is the social issues he tackles and ‘Feel Irie’ is no different. But, there’s a twist – he notes that although everyone including himself has fears, that shouldn’t stop them from holding their heads high because life will get better. Irie is a Jamaican phrase which means “everything is alright” and is often used in response to being asked “how are you?”. Interestingly enough, the song has distinctive music videos.
