Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki is an upcoming Indian Hindi family drama television series, which is scheduled to premiere sometime in June 2016 and will be broadcast on Colors TV. The series will be produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms Limited of Rashmi Sharma. The series will be aired on weekdays.
The show has Punjab backdrop and focuses on two sisters Soumya (Rubina Dilaik) and Surbhi (Roshni Sahota), who will fall in love with the same man, Harman (Vivian Dsena). Soumya and Surbhi have a father who hates Soumya. There is a rift between the family. Soumya and Surbhi's Maternal grandmother and Paternal grandmother hate each other. And so does Nimmi (Soumya and Surbhi's mother) and Maninder (Soumya and Surbhi's father). The paternal grandmother and the father want the sisters to be apart. Poor Soumya was in dirt when she was born and for some reason the father and paternal grandmother hate her.
