Digital nomads are remote workers who use their freedom-from-location to travel the world, usually westerners traveling to tourist destination locations such as Thailand. My critique is one on the neoliberal economy. My publications on the topic include the following:
2021. Digital Nomads Living on the Margins: Remote Laptop Entrepreneurs in the Gig Economy. Manuscript to be published in the Emerald Studies in Alternativity and Marginalisation series. UK: Emerald Publishing.
2020. “Digital nomadism: Mobility, millennials, and the future of work in the online gig economy.” In editor Greg Hearn’s The Future of Creative Work, UK: Edward Elgar Publishing.
2019. ‘I get my lovin’ on the run’: Digital nomads, constant travel, and nurturing romantic relationships. In Andrew Gorman-Murray and Catherine J Nash (eds), The Geographies of Digital Sexualities. Singapore: Palgrave Macmillian. P. 69-90. [PDF]. DOI: https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-13-68....
