This is the dreaded 'first attempt at vlogging' video. On this beautiful morning, it was 33.3 degrees Celsius. Not hot for Thai's, but certainly out of the comfort zone of the average Canadian. The walk begins at the GP House hotel/apartment in On Nut, Bangkok.
I wasn't going to upload it, but it feels like some kind of 'right of passage'. Gotta do it.
It was a blast to make. Didn't realize how enjoyable it would be. The content is another story. Jerky camera movements, rough audio patches, over exposed footage and rambling dialogue .. it's got it all. Good thing the ending comes up quick .. & the groove is pretty slick.
Here's what i learnt ..
The walk and talk vlog format is fun to do.
Be careful with tone of voice.
Storytelling doesn't require the emotions of the commentator. Dial it back a bit.
Swear sparingly, but effectively.
Always capture separate audio.
Be more careful when using 'auto' settings on the camera.
Buy a better camera.
Plan your vlog and vlog your plan.
