Corey Adam Soles' Murder: A family’s deadly crime uncovered, but what was the motive?

A woman and her children, all charged in the deadly missing person investigation of Corey Soles in Horry County, were sentenced in court Monday.

Corey Soles, who was first reported missing on Jan. 10, 2023. Six days later, his body was found near Green Sea Road in Galivants Ferry.

Samantha Watts was first arrested on drug charges and then later charged with murder.

Payton Watts, her son, was also sentenced and received 35 years.

Amber Watts, her daughter, was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony and pleaded guilty in court Monday. She was sentenced to six years in prison and five years on probation.

Jonathan Watts, another one of Samatha Watts's sons, pleaded guilty to assault and battery in the first degree.

Nettles gave him a 908-day credit for the time he has already served under the Youthful Offender Act.
