🎠✨ FIRST DAY BACK AT DISNEYLAND 2026 | CHEAP BUS HACK, LAST DAY OF CHRISTMAS TREE & CLASSIC RIDES ✨🎠
Welcome back to the magic, my friends—Father Spanky here, and this was truly a perfect first day back at Disneyland in 2026! From saving money to soaking in Disney history, this day had everything.
🚍 PRO TIP ALERT: We discovered an amazing, efficient, and budget-friendly way to get to Disneyland—the OC Bus Fullerton Park-and-Ride on Orangethorpe Ave. and Magnolia Ave. No Disneyland parking fees, no stress, and a smooth ride straight to the park and back home. This is officially our new go-to Disneyland transportation hack. A penny saved is a penny earned!
🎄 When we walked into the park, the magic hit immediately—the Christmas tree was STILL UP on Main Street, U.S.A. It turned out to be the very last day the tree would stand, and we were blessed to take photos and enjoy it one final time before it came down. A truly special Disney moment.
🔥 We spotted Walt Disney’s apartment above the Firehouse, and then experienced something unforgettable—an incredible ride on the Main Street Fire Truck #1, driven by the amazing Steve. This is the same fire truck Walt Disney himself drove, and where one of his last photos at Disneyland was taken. Absolute chills. Disney history at its finest.
🏰 Sara and Father Spanky grabbed magical selfies in front of the castle while watching adorable baby ducklings swimming around the castle pond—pure Disney joy.
🎢 We enjoyed several opening-day attractions from 1955, including the legendary Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride—a ride that never gets old and always brings the nostalgia.
🍲 Lunch was at Harbour Galley, where we devoured a tomato vegan soup in a bread bowl—and wow, that bread bowl stole the show!
🛶 Next up: Jungle Cruise, where our hilarious skipper had me laughing nonstop. Such a fun and classic Disney experience.
📸 This was also my first time using my new camera at Disneyland, and I was beyond excited to see how incredible the footage turned out—crisp, magical, and full of life.
🍍 Dessert time! We grabbed the most refreshing vegan treat at Disneyland—DOLE WHIP. Huge shoutout to the incredible cast member who hooked us up with extra filling in the middle. That kindness made an already perfect day even better.
🏴‍☠️ Then it was off to Pirates of the Caribbean—a timeless classic. The ambiance, the music, the history… I never get tired of this ride.
🚂 We hopped aboard the Disneyland Railroad in New Orleans Square and rode it all the way to Tomorrowland, taking in the sights and sounds of the park.
🌙 As night fell, Disneyland transformed—twinkling lights on Main Street, beautiful Main Street vehicles cruising back and forth, the Christmas tree glowing on its final night, and that unbeatable Disney nighttime magic.
🚌 To end the day, we caught the city bus on Harbor, headed back to our car, and once again saved a fortune by skipping parking. This bus system is a total game-changer for Disneyland visits.
