*KRUMP*, an intense street dance born in early 2000s Los Angeles, uses exaggerated, high-energy movements to express emotions like joy and anger, often as a response to social and racial injustice. Bubu Ogisi, the visionary designer behind *IAMISIGO*, channels this same defiance and power in her politically charged Ofo masquerade costume, inspired by Nigerian traditions. Through bold, structured designs and vibrant cultural symbolism, her work challenges colonial narratives, blending tradition and modernity to convey emotional, spiritual, and political resistance.
