It has been awhile since I have played my magicka nightblade as a melee character, but I decided to bring it back with the Waking Flame patch! With the changes we have seen over time in ESO in 2021, high damage squishier builds have become an extremely effective playstyle due to how high damage numbers can reach. This build focuses on bobbing in and out of combat, striking from the shadows with an extremely high spell damage pool and eliminating opponents before they even have a chance to respond. We stack a ton of spell damage and penetration in this build, combined with boosts to critical damage that bring us right up to the critical damage cap, to make for an extremely high damage profile. The build has decent enough survivability for the type of playstyle that it is, but it is overall squishy since we had to forego alot of defense in order to reach such high damage numbers, so you need to engage intelligently and use your mobility for survival.
