HOMEWORK — Russian Reading Practice
Practice these syllables and words every day for 5–10 minutes:
1) CV syllables (Consonant + Vowel)
ма, па, ба, да, ва, га, са, ла
мо, по, бо, до, го, со, ро
му, пу, бу, ду, гу, лу
2) VC syllables (Vowel + Consonant)
ам, ап, ад, ас
ум, ут, ус
ом, он, ор
3) Simple words (CVC and two-syllable words)
мама — mama
папа — papa
дом — home/house
кот — cat
сыр — cheese
жук — beetle
ёлка — fir tree / Christmas tree
4) Words with soft consonants
ля, ля-ля
мя, мяу
ня, ням-ням
сено — hay
мел — chalk
5) Mini-reading practice
Read these slowly, then normally:
вода — water
гора — mountain
яблоко — apple
рука — hand
окно — window
💡 Tip: Say the vowel first, then add the consonants. Repeat each word 3 times: slow → normal → natural.
