A temple built wholly of granite stones is being erected in Kauai, Hawaii. All 3 million pounds of it are being hand-carved. 15,000 miles away, in Bengaluru, India. This is the only venture of its kind ever undertaken in the western world.
With stunning computer graphics and deep insights from the foremost authority on Vaastu Vedic Science, the late V. Ganapati Sthapati, the film takes you from the vision that inspired the Iraivan temple through the logistics and challenges that face this daunting task while shedding light on the science behind this ancient art form.
The very nature of the elemental charged particles of the Universe and their resonance with the divinity that is within us all is explored through the sacred geometry involved in the design and construction of a traditional South India Temple.
Featuring Gurudeva and the monks of Kauai's Hindu Monastery, Thiru. V. Ganapati Sthapati and his team of silpis; Shanmugha Sthapati and the silpis of Iraivan; roselle Bailey; Jerome Okaneku.
