Laura Cereta: A Pioneer for Women’s rights and Education in the 15th Century

Today’s episode is about Laura Cereta. An Italian woman, humanist, writer, and philosopher, from the 15th century. She left many letters behind that give us an insight into the struggles women faced during that time. Not just in their marriages, but in all other aspect of life like education and just general rights. We'll go over some of the letters she left behind so we can get a glimpse into life as a woman in the 15th century. 

We see the things she herself dealt with by being a learned woman, but we also see how she was not afraid to fight back and defend herself, and other women like her, from men and women alike.
