Dan McClellan recently went off on Kirk Cameron over immigration — and honestly, it made me think… about critical thinking. Not because Dan was exercising it, but because he kept using the term over and over and over.
How often do we stop to analyze what we’re hearing instead of just reacting to it?
How often do we weigh ideas on their merits instead of defending our “side”?
I don’t agree with Dan McClellan on much, and I usually don’t comment on his videos.
But this clip was so over the top, I had to say something.
Forget the topic for a moment — we can talk about that another time.
What stood out here wasn’t the issue itself, but the attitude behind it.
The “I’m right, you’re wrong” tone.
The claim that anyone who disagrees just can’t think critically.
As if his framework isn’t built on its own kind of dogma.
Because, truthfully, everyone’s worldview leads to some kind of dogma — that’s unavoidable. For Dan its his view of Deconstruction.
