Hello! My name is Jane. I am 30 years old. I live in California, in the United States. I am an English teacher. I love my job because I like helping my students learn new things. I have a small and happy family. My husband’s name is David. He is 40 years old, and he is a doctor. We have one son. His name is Kevin. He is 8 years old. He goes to elementary school.

Every morning, I wake up at six o’clock. The sun is usually shining, and I can hear the birds outside my window. I get out of bed and go to the kitchen. I make breakfast for my family. Sometimes I cook eggs and toast. Sometimes I make pancakes, and Kevin loves them. After I finish cooking, I go to Kevin’s room to wake him up. I say, “Good morning, Kevin! It’s time to get ready for school.” He gets up, brushes his teeth, and washes his face.

At seven o’clock, we all sit together at the table and eat breakfast. We talk about our plans for the day. Kevin usually tells us about his friends and school activities. After breakfast, Kevin puts on his school uniform and gets his backpack. At eight o’clock, he goes to school.

At eight-thirty, David and I leave the house. He drives to the hospital, and I go to the school where I teach. My school is not very far from our home. My classes start at nine o’clock. I teach English to children and sometimes to adults. I enjoy seeing my students learn new words and practice speaking.

At noon, I have lunch at school with my colleagues. We talk and laugh together. In the afternoon, I prepare lessons for the next day or check my students’ homework. I usually finish work at four o’clock.

After work, I drive home. On the way, I sometimes stop at the supermarket to buy food for dinner. When I arrive home, I take a short rest and then start cooking. David usually comes home around six o’clock. Kevin also comes back from school in the afternoon and does his homework before dinner.

At seven o’clock, we have dinner together. It is my favorite time of the day because we can relax and talk as a family. David tells us about his patients, and I tell him about my students. Kevin tells funny stories, and we laugh a lot.

After dinner, Kevin takes a shower and reads a storybook. Sometimes I help him with his reading. David and I watch TV or listen to music. I like soft music because it helps me relax. Around nine o’clock, Kevin goes to bed. At ten o’clock, I also go to sleep.

On weekends, we like to spend time together. Sometimes we go to the park for a picnic. Kevin rides his bicycle, and David plays football with him. I like taking pictures of them and enjoying the fresh air. Sometimes we go to the beach because we live near the ocean. The weather in California is usually nice and sunny. I love walking on the sand and watching the sunset.

I also like reading books and cooking new recipes. My favorite food is pasta. I enjoy cooking Italian food for my family. David loves my spaghetti, and Kevin always asks for more.

Our life is simple but full of love. I am thankful for my family every day. I believe that happiness is not about having everything, but about enjoying the little things we share together. I feel lucky to have a loving husband, a sweet son, and a peaceful home. This is my life — and I love it.
