We're kicking off the first Campus Freedom Live by examining the Trump administration’s efforts to exert sweeping control over colleges and universities across the country. Through federal guidance, proposed compacts, and negotiated agreements with individual institutions, the administration has been pressuring universities to adopt policies that often go well beyond what the law requires, undermine sound educational practice, and curtail freedom and opportunity for students, faculty, and staff.
For Part 1, focusing on admissions and employment, we were joined by:
Anurima Bhargava, former Chief, Educational Opportunities Section, U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division (moderator)
Veena Dubal, General Counsel, American Association of University Professors
Veronica Percia, Of Counsel, Salvatore Prescott Porter & Porter, former Special Counsel, Department of Justice
Jenny Yang, Outten & Golden, former Chair, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
