Solung is an agro-based festival celebrated by the Adi tribe in Arunachal Pradesh in early September to pray for a good harvest and prosperity for the community. The three-part festival involves rituals to deities like Kine Nane (goddess of crops) and Doying Bote (god of wisdom), the sacrifice of animals such as mithun, community feasting, folk dancing, and traditional games like archery and tug-of-war.

Rituals: Offerings are made to Kine Nane, the goddess of crops, in the second part of the festival, Binnyat. The third part, Ekop or Taktor, involves rituals to Gumin-Soyin, the household guardian, and Doying Bote for protection against evil spirits and for wisdom and welfare.
Community Engagement: People share meat and Apong (rice beer) with neighbors and relatives.
Cultural Practices: The festival features traditional folk dances, archery, and tug-of-war games.
Cultural Showcase: Stalls are set up to display the local cuisine, culture, and handlooms.
