In today's video I break down my newly built fairyweight (150grams, with a 100% weight bonus) gyro-walker. It uses a servo to tilt a large vertical spinner, which harnesses the gyroscopic forces of the weapon, causing the robot to "walk." I based this design around the first ever gyro-walker, Gyrobot, and Luke Quinn's beetleweight monster Rickety Cricket. As far as I know this is the first attempt at a fairyweight of this specific design. It is currently entered in an upcoming August competition alongside my antweight shufflebot Pronghorn.
