Tom Green Live - Jeremy Klein and Ace Young (2006-06-21)

From Tom's Blog: I must say it is completely exciting. This is turning out to be so much more fun than I ever expected. It was great having Ace from American Idol and Jeremy from Birdhouse skateboards on the show last night. They were funny together. I love the way it attracted very polar opposites in our audience, to come together here, on this goofy little show.

Ace and Jeremy hit it off. I think we might go shoot a rollerblading video with Ace and Jeremy, Jeremy on a skate. At least that was what we were all talking about after we shut down the cameras. Thanks Ace for poppin by TOM GREEN LIVE. We had a great time.

So today, I am just trying to get some rest. It has been a long week. Just the spontaneous decision to suddenly turn our weekly show, into a four times weekly show... (Monday-Thursday)

I can honestly say, this has been the most exciting week of my career. The complete creative freedom has made this such a fun thing to do. Nobody comes in at zero hour, and makes you re-write all your ideas. I have never had this liberating an experience, any time, working in the electronic media. Even on public access cable, we had a boss, somebody that could boot us off the air.

So, I guess what I am saying, is that we are being very careful. I don't really see the need to push the envelope so far, just because we can. At the end of the day, we want this channel, and TOM GREEN LIVE, to be entertaining for everyone. Not just some hardcore group of folks, who only want to see something shocking, or gross. What we really want to accomplish here, is entertaining conversation. Real moments, that because they are captured in my living room, perhaps become more loose and fun than what can occur on a stuffy TV stage.

There is an energy on this set that I have never felt before. I think, because this stage is in my actual house, there is an intimacy that allows performers to relax, and have fun.

Everybody you see on this show I have welcomed into my home. Just as you the viewer, are welcomed in each night as well. It has been great having you here. Keep watching, tell your friends, and spread the word on the internet. And we will have many more nights of fun in my home. Cheers gang. See ya tonight.
