7 Ways to Reduce Traction Roll with

So on the previous track day, my GLR-GT traction rolling. Since then I've made a number of tuning changes to deal with it.
First, my friend Roger gave me these mounted tires and wheels (Thanks!). The front tires and side walls were glued. They were also trued to around 22.5mm. Mounting tires this way reduces rubber's sudden traction instability during cornering.
My GT uses PN side damper tubes, and I drilled a tiny hole on each for venting. The damper action is now much smoother.
I lowered the ride height by adjusting the rear diff holder eccentrics and relocating spacers on the front knuckles. A lower ride height naturally means a lower center of gravity.
I softened the front springs going from blue to yellow, but with heavier 35k grease. Similarly, the side vertical springs for RX505 were softened from silver to black. This helps because the chassis can roll sideways more freely before reaching the limit of lateral traction.
The chassis was upgraded from GL to the heavier Reflex brass to further lower the center of gravity.
Not related to traction rolling but I also installed a GL 2500kv motor with 13T to match the popular 2500 lipo class.
The last change to combat traction rolling was a suggestion from Eugene. I used a dremel to grind down the plastic window piece just above the rear wheels. Previously they could touch the tires.
So how did the car behave after all these changes? Ideally, I would change and test one thing at a time, but I couldn't afford that since I didn't have too much track access. I was testing the car at Lemo Fox Mini-Z in California. The RCP track was gloriously large and fast, and high grip. My GLR-GT had never run so well! I was very surprised because I had changed so many things at once. Please note I'm not an expert driver at all, but even so I could enter corners at speed with confidence, and power out of them.
If you are experiencing traction rolling with your 1:28 track cars, please try the tuning options described earlier. They are recommendations from experts and they work. And my driving wasn't too terrible either! I will make a video on this awesome Mini-Z track in a future video.
This is Sammy and thanks for watching!
