When the world's busiest airport lives up to the title! Morning haze kept all VFR departures grounded on Saturday, July 31st. As soon as the airport was opened, aircraft flooded the taxiways wanting to head home. The volunteers and air traffic controllers worked together to launch approximately 400 aircraft in about 90 minutes - about one takeoff every 13 seconds!
