India Bourne is a performer, songwriter, vocal coach and choir leader hailing from the West Country. Her choir The Big Skirts are a powerhouse all-female group established in 2016 during a brief pause from touring. It started with only a handful of women but quickly grew into a tight-knit group of regulars who India says now feel like her extended family. We are sisters, mothers, daughters, artists, teachers, doctors, environmentalists, yoga teachers, seamstresses, actresses, chefs and much more. She says 'We've been through a lot over the years and have grown even closer as a result of singing together'. It was always the intention to create a fun, inclusive and relaxed space to come together, knowing the joy and therapeutic value of singing and how it can benefit us all.
