The Swedish athletes Tove Alexandersson and Erik Rost were victorious for the second day running, this time over Middle Distance. Both wins were by more than half a minute.
The sun on the Sprint day had changed to snow and icy rain, but this did not hinder Tove Alexandersson who won her race by 57 seconds and was overall fastest throughout. Closest challenger was again Mariya Kechkina of Russia, and the Finn Mira Kaskinen had a fine race to finish third, 2.02 down on Alexandersson’s time.
Erik Rost too was unhindered by the change in the weather, having a largely clean race to finish 0.43 faster than Ville-Petteri Saarela, Finland, who is having an excellent season so far. Lars Moholdt, Norway was up in third position, 0.54 down on the lead time.
