SAXER LÜCKE🇨🇭 | backpacking Switzerland, rope swinging in the Swiss Alps, camping on cliffs

Welcome to part 1 of our 2025 Europe trip! The Swiss Alps treated us to an awesome mountain hut, the most beautiful lakes, tons of cows, and the camping spot of a lifetime.

🚠 We took a gondola from Wasserauen to Ebanalp, hiked to Aescher Hut, then down to Sealpsee lake

☀️ Sealpsee was magical. Beautiful blue water, cows and farmhouses everywhere, a restaurant, and rope swing.

🏔️ Started our hike to Saxer Lucke past Bollenwees Hut. The trail consisted of steep inclines and declines the entire time. No flat ground to pitch a tent until you reach Saxer Lucke so we had to push through even though we were ready to give up.

⛺️ Pitched our tent at Saxer Lucke at 10 pm. There are 5 spots total, we snagged the last one. The views in the morning were unbelievable, and we couldn't believe how lucky we were to experience it.

• 2500ft decline in 3 miles from Ebanalp to sealpsee
• 2070ft elevation gain in 2 miles from sealpsee to first peak
• 1350ft decline in 1 mile from first peak to valley
• 1350ft elevation gain in 1.5 miles from valley to Saxer Lucke camping spot
