FIRST MAJOR THOMAS SCHÜTTE EXHIBIT IN VENICE ITALY

The Pinault Collection presents the first major exhibition in Italy dedicated to Thomas Schütte (b. 1954, Oldenburg, Germany) at Punta della Dogana, curated by Camille Morineau, independent curator, and Jean-Marie Gallais, curator at the Pinault Collection.

Since the late 1970s, Thomas Schütte has explored the human condition with irony and unease, creating sculptures, models, drawings, and prints that form a singular and evolving body of work. The exhibition at Punta della Dogana brings together nearly fifty sculptures from the Pinault Collection, loans from the artist, and around a hundred works on paper, many shown for the first time, highlighting the recurring figures and motifs that have established Schütte as a major voice in contemporary art.
