Here is my DIY digital night vision / EAA system, based on ZWO ASI585 mono camera, DIY electronic bino-eyepiece and my own software. It has two modes: real-time (10 fps, different image processing for motion/steady image) and stacking mode (1 second subs are used in this video). Image processing is running on MINIX Z100 mini-PC.
Samyang 135mm/F2 lens and dual-band L-Enhance filter are used in this video. Objects observed: NGC 7000 North America Nebula, Sadr Region, NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula, Eastern Veil Nebula, M27 Dumbbell Nebula. Conditions are around Bortle 4-5.
Main advantages of this system are:
background (light pollution) compensation. This allows to observe not only with narrow-band filters, but also in broadband mode with light pollution - for example galaxies,
possibility to switch to stacking mode to see more details.
