Solidworks makes the user deselect then reselect the trimming tool, even when there is no actual issue with the trimming tool. This is cumbersome when working on heavy multi body models as the user has to keep hiding/showing the trim body when a failure arises. Ignore the way I induced the actual failure, by changing the entities in the sketch from solid to construction. This was a quick way to induce the failure to illustrate the main issue.
