These two countries are fighting over a 900 year old temple and nobody is talking about it. Thailand and Cambodia are in their worst conflict in decades. It all started with the Preah Vihear temple - an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva from the 11th century. This temple has been disputed since 1962 when international courts said it belongs to Cambodia. But Thailand never fully accepted this. In May 2025, a Cambodian soldier died. Then Thai soldiers were injured by landmines. On July 24th, everything exploded - literally. Both sides started using fighter jets, rockets, and artillery. Many people are dead, over 100,000 civilians forced to flee their homes. Both countries kicked out each other's diplomats and banned trade. And all this destruction over one ancient temple.
