Is the Beatbot AquaSense Pro actually worth over $2,000? Short answer—no. In this brutally honest review, I break down why this ultra-expensive cordless pool robot looks premium but performs like a budget model with a fancy coat of paint. From constant recharging to poor step cleaning, and some of the worst navigation I’ve seen in a pool robot, the AquaSense Pro left me seriously unimpressed.
Hey, I’m Justin from The Pool Nerd—and I’ve tested more robotic pool cleaners than just about anyone. I put the AquaSense Pro through real-world testing in my pool, not a showroom. What I found? It’s heavy, it’s inconsistent, and the app is basically useless once the bot is underwater. That’s a serious problem when you're shelling out this kind of cash.
In this video, I walk you through all the major flaws: inconsistent pool coverage, weak filtration, disappointing power, and a skimmer mode that doesn’t even come close to replacing a dedicated surface skimmer. And don’t get me started on the overpriced clarifying agent kit—they’re charging $50 for chitosan you can buy elsewhere for $25.
I also compare the AquaSense Pro to two of my top-rated corded pool robots—Dolphin Premier and Dolphin Sigma—which offer better navigation, stronger suction, and fewer headaches, all for hundreds less. You’ll see side-by-side analysis and learn exactly why I’d choose either of those over the Beatbot any day of the week.
Even worse, Beatbot’s got an “F” rating on Mozilla’s Fakespot, and online customer support stories aren’t great either. Combine that with no way to recharge itself, poor stair performance, and heavy lifting each time it finishes a cycle, and it quickly becomes clear this bot isn’t built for convenience—or value.
The battery life sounds good on paper, but in real-world use it couldn’t complete a full cleaning cycle in custom mode. If it dies mid-cycle, it sinks—meaning you have to fish it out manually. For something that’s supposed to be “hands-free,” it’s surprisingly high-maintenance.
Watch the full review to see unfiltered footage of the AquaSense Pro in action, and hear why it didn’t make my list of top pool cleaners this year. If you’re on the fence, this video might just save you two grand.
