Are your tomato plants tall and weak? Do they flop over, struggle to thrive, or produce fewer tomatoes than expected? The problem might start at planting time, and most gardeners don't even realize it. In this video, I'll show you the most common mistake people make when planting tomatoes: not deep enough. This simple fix can transform your tomato plants by giving them a stronger root system, better support, and ultimately, a bigger harvest.
Why plant tomato plants deep? Tomato stems have the unique ability to grow roots when buried under soil. The more of the stem you bury, the more roots will develop. A deeper root system means: stronger, more stable plants, better access to nutrients and water, increased resistance to drought and wind, and more vigorous growth and higher yields.
