Techo International Airport (KTI), Cambodia newest and most ambitious aviation hub, officially opened in September 2025, mark as transformative milestone for the country’s infrastructure and global connectivity. Located approximately 30 kilometers south of Phnom Penh in Kandal Province’s Kandal Stueng District, the airport span a massive 2,600 hectares, making it as one of Southeast Asia’s largest greenfield airport projects. Designed to replace the aging Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH), KTI is built to ICAO 4F standards, capable of accommodating the world’s largest aircraft, including the Airbus A380. Its initial phase features a 4,000-meter concrete runway and a modern passenger terminal designed to handle up to 15 millions passengers annually, with future expansions planned to triples that capacity. Operated by Cambodia Airports under Vinci Airports and developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd., KTI serves as a hub for Air Cambodia and Cambodia Airways, and also hosting AirAsia Cambodia and Vietnam Airlines as key operators.
