“We feebly struggle, they in glory shine.” In a simple expression the beautiful hymn, For All the Saints summarizes this Sunday. Life on this earth is a struggle. As believers in Christ, his death, his resurrection, our forgiveness, our eternal life, we might, at times, think things should go a little bit
easier for us. At times, they might. But sin and Satan bring sadness and hardships to our life.
Today we rejoice in the victory that is ours eternally in Christ. Our fellow believers that our God has called home shine in his glory. Someday that will be ours in fullness. In the meantime, “we feebly struggle,” but not without real promises and sure hope in the almighty, eternal and loving God.
