Herkimer Diamond - The Crystal of Guiding Light

Herkimer Diamonds come from Herkimer County, NY, USA. The bedrock in which they are found started forming about half a billion years ago in a shallow Cambrian sea that once existed in the area. They are not actually true Diamonds but rather a form of double terminated quartz. Most Herkimer Diamonds are clear although some contain small black inclusions, a golden iron covering and a special few contain water inclusions, enhancing their ability to aid with emotional issues. Unlike true Diamond that must be worked by machine to bring out their beauty, Herkimers have been prepared by Mother Nature, already naturally sparkling with light and rainbow. These have become a popular tool for any serious crystal worker because of their intense and transformational energy. Many find Herkimer Diamond to be one of the high vibrations of quartz on the earth, and often even the most inexperienced crystal worker can feel some energetic pulse while holding it. However due to Herkimer Diamond’s intense spiritual energy, it is best to use it for special purposes at specific times. Prolonged exposure may cause disorientation in some people and may be too overwhelming for children, younger teenagers or animals.
