The Nasamax DM139
Sometimes it can take one individual to show the world what can be done and what is possible.
In this case it took one race team and one very unique LMP1 Prototype based in Kent. Proving to the world centre stage at the 24hrs Le Mans; one of the worlds most, if not the most prestigious endurance motorsport race, that alternative fuel technology works.
The Nasamax DM139 did just that and finished as the worlds first bio fuelled prototype to compete and finish Le Mans with a truly alternatively fuelled engine.
Running a Judd V10 on bio ethanol this very unique and one of a kind prototype crossed the line back in 2004. Not only that but also held the record for fastest car clocking 346kph (215mph)
After an incident in Spa following Le Mans that year, the Nasamax went into storage. These last few years it has been undergoing a full restoration brining it back to its former glory.
We have been lucky enough to have had this icon in our showroom for the last 3-4 months. Therefore, we only saw it fit to give the recognition this prototype deserves looking back at the achievements this privateer team made and the history they created.
