What Did Spa Look Like in the 70's? |

This week’s edition of Dave Cam’s POV of the Week is another different one, this time being a point of view race conducted on Automobilista 2. An upcoming Release Candidate that was revealed in the late October Dev update is available to try now, and that’s just what Dave is looking at doing today.

One of the newest tracks coming to AMS2 is a historic one, a recreated edition of Spa-Francorchamps from the 1970s. Dave is going to hop in a 1974 Porsche 911 RSR and race against AI drivers racing in other classic race cars from the era around the old circuit.

A classic track with classic cars, and just to up the ante, Dave is throwing AMS2’s changeable weather into the forecast. It’s going to rain. Dave is prepared for it, but his max level AI opponents are not. When the weather drops in, just how far up the running order can Dave’s preparedness get him from last place?

The POV of the Week series adds another game to the mix, considering his previous races in the rain on both Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2 and multiple online races on iRacing. Dave keeps it as authentic as possible, racing on triple monitors with the user interface turned off, all captured by a mounted GoPro.

A classic race calls for a classic wheel rim as well – It looks as though Dave is utilising a MOMO Mod 88 wheel rim today. Stay tuned until the end to see how it plays out!
