St Christopher's School

This independent residential school for children with severe learning difficulties closed in 2020 citing it was unecomically viable to stay running.

Its associated care home, faced sudden closure in 2019 amid serious child cruelty allegations and police investigations, leading to Ofsted removing its registration.
There was plans for a conversion to a care home but this was met with local opposition and the buildings now have legal protection to ensure renovation is for community use.

This was a difficult explore to complete navigating the sheer size of the site with buildings like mazes then the amount of armadillos and pir motion cameras. But we managed to complete 5 out of the 6 huge buildings. It took over 4 hours.
Since this explore security with dogs have also been added to which is probably a wise choice with damage only just starting to appear within one of the most accessible buildings. The harder ones to get in were apart from deterioration from no use in beautiful condition. Let's hope something happens with them soon.
