Julie Sheppard as Judy Garland in her legendary show JULIE JULIE JULIE as presented at the NYC nightclub Don't Tell Mama in 1986. Featuring Ricky Ritzel as Ms. Garland's piano playing accomplice, and Glen Richmond on bass (he also wrote the arrangements). The production was staged and directed by Bruce Warren, and although initially expected to play at Mama's for four weeks it ran for an unprecedented seven months! Sheppard then went on to wow the nation and the world with various incarnations of the show, but this is the original production that launched a legend. There are 15 to 20 songs in all, only a few of Judy's best known numbers along with many of her lesser performed early gems and Capitol cuts. There is also an original song based on a poem by Judy called Love Is Lost that brought Judy's ex-husband, Sid Luft, to tears the first time he attended the show.
