Mykayahu (Micah) 6:6–8
6 “How should I draw near to YahWah?
Should I bow down before the Mighty Ones in the heights?
Should I approach with ascending offerings—
with year-old calves?”
7 “Would YahWah ever desire countless rams,
or rivers of precious oil?
Should I give my firstborn for my transgression—
the child of my own womb for the failure of my life-breath?”
8 “He has made it known to you, human, what is good.
And what does YahWah ask of you?
Only this:
to act with sound judgment and fairness,
to love covenant-loyal kindness,
and to walk thoughtfully, humbly,
in relationship with your Elohym —
your Mighty Ones.”
