transcript:
Ergonomic hazards pose just as large a risk as line of fire zone injuries. These ergonomic injuries happen when working with hand tools or contorting your body to reach a contact point. Proper balance, alignment, and moderate exertion are great first steps for ergonomic health. Be aware of the amount of time you're working in the same position with the same motion, reset your grip, or take a break if the repetition or positioning has not changed during a period of very active labor.
Be wary of vibration fatigue from electric or gas tools or vehicle use. Maintain a good posture and stable, even footing and body placement while doing any task. Take your time and exert the right amount of force when using any hand tool. There's no rush, and taking shortcuts can lead to excessive force accidents.
The path to overall health, longevity, and hand safety starts with awareness and proper working habits.
