COVID-19 vaccine shoulder complication follow up video

I decided to make a follow-up video to the one I uploaded in February 2021 as I have had a lot of comments and questions about it.

Since the first video, there has been a lot of research regarding the COVID-19 vaccine's shoulder side effects and Dr. Gonzalez decided to share his expertise on the matter to hopefully help patients that might have developed severe shoulder pain after the vaccine.

SIRVA (Shoulder Injury Related Vaccine Administration) is a common and unwanted side effect that can develop after vaccination.

If you develop severe shoulder pain lasting more than 1 week after a vaccine, there is a possibility that you might have developed SIRVA.

Recommendation:

If you live in the south Florida area, contact Dr. Gonzalez at IROSM immediately to speak to him and get you back to pain-free living. If you are out of town

ICE the shoulder twice a day to attempt to reduce the inflammation.
Contact your Orthopedics or Sports Medicine Specialist immediately to get evaluated. Ultrasound or MRI might be required to diagnose and confirm the problem.

Steroid injections, oral medications, or physical therapy might be needed in severe cases to reduce the inflammation in the shoulder.
