Keeping it short and (somewhat) sweet this week with my cover of a cover. “Mad World” by Tears For Fears caught a second wind when it was performed by Gary Jules for the Donnie Darko soundtrack. Yeah - I had never heard of him before either, but his haunting version was perfect for that film. Can’t say I’d heard of Jake Gyllenhaal either at that point, and he turned out alright...
I couldn’t quite get it to hold together at such a slow tempo, so mine feels a touch fast here.
