Ntxhais Hnub Qub, the varsity team under Koomtes Dance Academy. This advanced group of 11 dedicated dancers uses Hmong dance as more than performance. It is a way to support mental well being, build life skills, and strengthen community.
Beyond the stage, they help create choreography for their sister teams, passing knowledge and tradition to the next generation. Off stage, they continue to shine through academics, sports, and community involvement.
NTXHAIS HNUB QUB represents the strength, beauty, and culture of the Hmong community in Oroville, California, and it is an honor to capture their journey.
The vision of Traditions In Motion Event (TIME) 2025 is grounded in the preservation of Hmong culture and heritage, the empowerment and uplift of Hmong dancers, and the recognition of 50 years of Hmong communities in the United States.
TIME 2025 would not have been possible without the collective support of the community and the many individuals who contributed to the event. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who helped bring this historic event to life.
