This video covers the concept of hydrogen bonding, complementary pairing between the nitrogenous bases in DNA and how this complementery pairing and hydrogen bonding contributes the polarity of DNA and its helical structure. Aswell as predicitng the directionality of DNA (and its anti-parrallel nature)
In the second half of the video we go over the stages of DNA replication, its semi-conservative nature including Intiation, Elongation and Termination. We look at the key regulatory proteins and enzymes involved in making this process possible. Including the pre-replication protein complex, DNA polyermase, Primase, Hexameric helicase etc. Aswell as de novo primer syntheises, step-wise phosphorylation and differences between the leading and lagging strand.
