Summary: Today I'm taking a break from the usual AI news rundown to tackle something more fundamental—how to actually learn about artificial intelligence properly. Following a great question from yesterday's webinar about building AI education businesses, I've put together a curated roadmap of the best resources for understanding how AI works under the surface. We're talking everything from casually explained videos that make it fun, to Three Blue One Brown's neural network series that'll give you a proper intuitive grasp of what's happening inside these models. I walk through how to use Notebook LM to turn any YouTube video into a personalised audio overview, which is genuinely brilliant for learning whilst you're on a treadmill or doing the washing up.

The second half gets a bit more philosophical about where we are in this AI moment. Even Andrej Karpathy—who literally co-created ChatGPT—feels behind and overwhelmed by how fast things are moving. We're all figuring this out together, which is simultaneously exciting and slightly terrifying. I talk about the responsibility those of us engaging with AI have to help others get AI ready, and why we can't ignore that even the most utopian visions involve a very messy middle period where real people get hurt. The goal isn't to be an AI guru, it's to bring as many people along for the ride as possible.
